A Unique Opportunity

The primary purpose of Abounding Love is to care for foster children and work with their families. We have been licensed for 6 foster children, but there is a tremendous shortfall of Licensed Foster Family Homes in Inyo County, California. Consequently, many of our young people must be placed outside this county and away from their friends and family support. We need to increase our capacity to care for these precious young ones.

That is why we need your help. We are working toward the purchase of The Orinda House, a 3600 sq. ft. 5 bedroom home with family room, game room, swimming pool, and lots of room for the kids to be kids. We are in the process of raising an initial $150,000 toward the purchase price of 370,000 for The Orinda House. This home will enable us to provide emergency short-term placement (2 weeks or less) for some children as well as long term placement for others. There will be room for us to provide small group meetings for children in the community as well as parenting classes for adults and training for foster .

The Orinda House is located in a residential neighborhood so that the children can make new friends and live as normal a life as possible and a can pick them up for school.
